NEW PLANS FOR 50th REUNION

The Reunion will now take place at the CLAREMONT HOTEL on Friday, 5th September 2008, commencing at 7:30pm in The Edwards Suite. Dress will be smart but casual.

Entry will be strictly by advanced purchase ticket. As we have tried to ensure everyone paid the same amount, £10 of your £20 entry fee will be refunded for you on the evening. There will be entertainment on the night with a DJ

There will be a buffet which will consist of Garnished bridge rolls with:- honey roast ham, roast beef or grated cheddar cheese. Barbecued chicken portions, Roasted vegetable quiche, Vegetable spring rolls, Tossed salad and crisps.

The school tour we have been planning has gathered momentum and we have definate plans for that. We will be holding a series of guided tours on Saturday morning, 6th September. Many of the more senior teachers will, unfortunately, not be able to attend the reunion on Friday night. However, a great many of these teachers will be there at the school on the Saturday morning along with some of the more recent and present day teachers. They will be your guides around the school and share a cup of tea and some light refreshments with you. All those who wish to attend the guided tour should e-mail me their interest at the earliest opportuinity to ensure they get a place.

TICKETS FOR THIS WILL BE STRICTLY LIMITED!

Unfortunately, due to a lack of response from the most recent school leavers, we have decided to amalgamate the two reunions together on the Friday night (sorry for any inconvenience caused)

If you haven't bought your ticket, you need to get in there now! All requests for tickets must be received by 31st August 2008.

We look forward to seeing you all on the night!

Contrary to what the Gazette printed some weeks ago, the reunions will not be Dinner Dances. The refreshments on the evening will be a simple buffet. Also, to reiterate the CORRECT criteria for the reunion you may wish to attend, the SINGLE reunion will now take place on Friday, 5th September 2008,

The date has been chosen to coincide with the actual opening of the school. The school have kindly offered to open its doors to visitors on the following Saturday (the 6th) to give ex-pupils a guided tour to see the differences in the school since they were here. These tours will be hourly, and will go ahead throughout the morning of the reunion day. Entrance will be by ticket only as we will have to keep a close watch on the numbers.

Plans are afoot to publish a commemorative magazine to celebrate the event which will be made available after the event to show photographs of the evening. Each edition will have the name of the guest together with details of the other guests. There will be a small charge for this souvenir magazine. As such, we are calling for anyone who may have commemorative photographs to contact me by clicking HERE

There will be a buffet meal available at the reunions and ticket costs are £20 per person. For details of payment methods, please e-mail me by clicking HERE
